I'm running the 200cc lightnings(aluminum). great heads. the torquers are more like World products torquers though. samller runner desgined to promote low-end grunt. Still a good head, and probably really good on a L98. I'd deffinitely look into some middle of the road "stage 2" porting. Stage 2 meaning bowls(if need, probably not on toplines) and gasket matching. - maybe raising the exhausts just a tad. - still great heads, especially for the $

Are your factory heads shot? I don't see the improvement worth the money after shipping and taxes (?). Take your heads to the local shop and have a three angle valve job, say $100 and clean up the ports yourself. If your heads are pretty much worn out these would probably be a good replacement head. Note they are for screw in studs and larger springs so your old hardware will not complete the bare heads.

the factory heads have like 90 k on them so i mean i cna clean them up and have the tools to put new springs in and stuff but i wanted to compare these heads to the iron l98 heads i have as well as some other options out there.... dont want to spend tons on new heads but 500-600 would be doable....

wouldnt have to pay shipping on these the shop that sells them in like a 10 min drive form my work...

Took my heads off at about 125K miles to rework them some. They looked like new still, guides tight, valves and seats were perfect. Your heads should be the same. The L98 heads are known as pretty decent heads for stockers, about the same as the old 300HP 327 heads of yesterday. If it were me I'd look for some more up to date heads with Vortec chambers and ports, spend the extra money for the lower intake - or go with some aluminum heads and get the best of today's improvements. I looked around and decided to just redo my heads and hang on to the money. Not looking for all out performance anyway.
