Climate controls light found alternate bulb replacement
Got a Firebird with the overhead climate controls light burnt out? I bet you discovered that part# 10045837 is impossible to get new and used ones are hard to find.
I discovered miniature LED license plate bolts are nearly dimensional the same.

These should be easy to retrofit into your dash no need to cut any plastic just need 2 washers to hold it in place and solder on the pigtail.
I'm going to order one I'm curious how much brighter / dimmer it will be over that tiny stock incandescent bulb.

Still waiting for some gauges to come in before I put the rest of dash together. Though the new LED light can't be dimmed its either on or off. I knew that ahead of time but I noticed I didn't mention it above.

You should be able to use a dimming module for that purpose. It flashes the LED on and off so quickly it isn't seen by the eye, I bought one for the LED's in my dash and it works very well, I bought it from SBL
