PWD - Thanks Dave

A little over a year ago I ordered a set of window switches from PW Distribution off their e-bay site. Several weeks ago, the drivers side switch starting sticking and would not return to center. I e-mailed PWD and told them what had happened. Even though the switches were out of warrantee, Dave Clee sent me a replacement set! Thanks Dave, look forward to doing business with you again.

How is the quality of the switches? Do they look like originals? I hope to buy their bumper grilles also.

Re: PWD - Thanks Dave

Quality appears to be good, looks and works like an OEM switch. If its electrical, it can fail, usually when it is new (like this) or when its really old, like the 22 year old original. Dave said he has over 3000 of these switches out there, so I'm not concerned, especially with his good support. BTW, for what its worth, this is a GM licensed Restoration part.

Re: PWD - Thanks Dave

I've been trying to buy an emblem kit off Dave for months, things are not going well.
I placed an order a few months ago on his website (the kits were still being reproduced at the time).
I recently received an email from Dave with him telling me that he has several kits available. I asked him to ship me one (since I ordered it months ago) but he didn't. I'm gunna give it one more shot but it really shouldn't be this difficult to make a purchase on badges. I don't know Dave, he's probably a good guy... just beware of poor communication.

I have dealt with PWD before and I have to say that Dave was always top notch with his service. He processes the orders himself and when I had an issue with an emblem kit I bought he resolved it right away.
Also - the repro emblem kit I received for my TTA was beautiful - probably better then the originals.

Re: PWD - Thanks Dave

I did get in touch with Dave again some months ago. We spoke on the phone and I gave him my visa number, he has all of my information and everything but it's like he never even put the order through... I dunno what's up with that. I got what I needed elsewhere so that's not a problem but I just wanted to touch base with you guys again, all I've got to say is beware of poor communication. I'm not the kind of person to talk bad about people but I'm just telling it like it is.

Re: PWD - Thanks Dave

I tried to order some emblems. First on ebay, he refunded me even though I paid all expenses and he had the auction set up for international shipping.

I asked him why, he said intl buyers are all crooks and scammers. OK. Still, need the damned logos.

So he told me to order from Australia, I did. Refunded again.. Asked for a payment request and send it. Did, I paid ... package on the way. He asked me to confirm my address multiple times. I keep an eye on tracking, oh no.. it's being sent back right after entering customs. After waiting for weeks it turns out he forgot to put the house number in the address (and he used my primary address from paypal not the one I gave... still not an issue had he entered the house number it would have arrived).. anyway he refunded me the part (I ordered from hawks instead) but now he wants ME to eat the 46 bucks in shipping because HE forgot the house number. His excuse is that I should have sent DHL...well even with DHL without the house number they sure as hell ain't gonna go along the entire street asking who lives where.

All he does is rant that international buyers are scammers. I have a perfect buying record on any site I frequent and ebay. I have dealt with quite a few people here and there but man... this is just NUTS!

He told me to take it up with the post here. 1st, I can't .. only a sender can start a claim or investigation and 2nd, it's fruitless because it's got an incomplete address.

As a customer, all I had to do was give shipping details and pay. What a frustrating ordeal. (and I'm still waiting on hawks, ordered the 21st and got shipped the 5th )

Man, that is brutal. I hope you didn't, and don't, pay that. F*ck him, he can swallow that cost, it is his mistake. Tell him he can come to your city, you'll give it to him only in person. Lol
