humount

I ordered from HUmount on the 4th of this month. It's now been 14 days and my order status has not changed. I have emailed them twice with no response. I plan to call them tomorrow.

I wouldn't have a problem waiting longer if I could get an update. But for 100 bucks, 14 days is pretty slow as it is.

Re: humount

It took them 5 weeks for me to get mine. Emailed them numerous time with no response, until I said I want a refund. Said he was out of town and had to redo my z28 lettering, because he didn't like how it came out. Final product came out great though. Good luck.

Thanks. I didn't expect it to take this long, it's too bad that the coolest products have the worst customer support.

That's reassuring, it's my first one, I just wish I could put it in. I sure hope it doesn't take 3 more weeks.

Be prepared to do some minor modifications to make it fit. I had to move some of the wiring around and take a heat gun to the side of the heat ducts on both sides of the radio to fit. Not a big deal though, my car was stolen and the radio harness was hacked up when they ripped out the radio.

Re: humount

Sent out another Email.

I cannot call them because they are Canadian based and I don't have international calling on my plan.

They have yet to respond.

Re: humount

Another day another Email. This time I threatened a refund and still to no avail. I might have to go through with a refund if they keep up the radio silence.

16 days without a single word or update is not okay.

Edit: The message about a refund apparently did the trick, he is gonna ship it out today.

same happened to me. its amazing how he answers a email when its going to come out of his pocket. Not a good way to do business.

Yeah, it's a shame that you have to go that far just to get a response.

I likely wont see my product for another 2 weeks, so I must say, I am unlikely to purchase from him again.

You obviously don't value the workmanship that goes into a handmade product...

There is a difference between being patient, and being left in silence for more than 2 weeks.

One has nothing to do with the other!

Poor communication & business practice has nothing to do with craftsmanship. Being capable of one does not preclude him from the other.

Exactly.

I can't finish this review until I actually receive the piece, but based on my experience thus far, I am unhappy.

You're missing the point.

This isn't about the product, or how it's hand made, it's about the lack of communication with the business owner. I posted this on the 15th day. After I emailed him twice already.

He only responded, and shipped it out, once I said I was considering a refund.

That is not how you run a business.
