Hawks Motorsports
Recently placed a $2500 order with Hawks Motorsports and could not be happier. Quick shipping and fast response to emailed questions. I have seen some negative comments on here and just wanted to share my experience. I've been a member for 15+ years and used Hawks headers on my first LS swap in 2006-07. Just my

Re: Hawks Motorsports
I have a bad idling problem I have to trouble shoot. Also want to put new calipers, rotors and pads on the rear, to match what I just did to the front. I have found that a lot of places cant get rear pads or rotors for an '88 IROC lol. Blows my mind

Re: Hawks Motorsports
Just had a great experience myself with Bruce recently. 700R4 on the wifes Z (third tranny in two years) fail. Car has a gently modified L31 w/ an HSR, maybe 330 HP butt dyno. Anyway, stock 700R4s don't seem to like it so I was looking for a light build. Nothing too fancy.
Called Hawks, said they could have one built to support that and more for about $1350 plus core. Being I'm local, I liked that, because if there's an issue I didn't have to worry about shipping. Anyway, time to go pick up the trans...
Bruce tells me awwwwwww crap. In the switch to the new building I got lost in the rubble, so to speak.... noooo!!! BUT! Says he has a trans sitting on a shelf that was built for a 650HP+ 383 twin turbo.... Customer decided on a six speed instead, he'd let me have it for the same price. So I drive down. An hour later I'm waiting for the trans to arrive from the old building... in pulls a pickup.... nasty trans case, all the signs of age... I'm thinking no freaking way am I taking that. Its a junkyard trans! Look into the bell housing...
This thing had obviously been rebuilt and never driven. All brand shiny new in there, not a mark. SO OK! I took it home, stuck it in the Z....
Couldn't be happier. This turned out to be one super solid trans. Shifts are clean and firm, the 1-2 punch is a kick. LOVE it.
Thanks Bruce and crew. Good guys. It was cool to deal with them personally too, instead of over the phone.
