The so called "Turtle Ram" interest list.
This thread's purpose is to un clog the BBK intake thread in the TPI forum of all the people's posts saying "i'll buy one!". all you need do is throw up a "count me in" post here to show your support and potential purchase of the much anticipated "Turtle Ram".
This isn't a conversational thread, merely a way we might be able to A)move ourselves up the list of priorities at BBK, and B) keep the original post cleaner and make it simpler for Brian, our contact at BBK to quickly asses our questions.
Go to it fellas, if there's people here on thirdgen that go to other TPI or SBC websites where there might be an interest (I know of at least one vette website) maybe say something over there too!
thanks alot, happy holidays.

Re: The so called "Turtle Ram" interest list.
Although I am buying one, I was honestly anticipating something entirely different from Bryan. Figured since they have the rights to all of their intakes, why not follow a similar "design" to that of some of their other's. I was ready to be floored if the new TPI intake looked anything like this one, and I know everyone one of you guys here, as well, would have literally been humping your monitors if the design below were in fact the case;

Re: The so called "Turtle Ram" interest list.
I'd buy one, if it is smog legal in CA and performs about as good as the Super Ram, which is butt ugly besides being hard to work on. My "built motor" is waiting on the stands, but I don't think the guys will let me be the first on the block to try it out.
"Turtle Ram?" better than Stealth Ram and the "Pizza Box"? Hmm.
Sounds like a bad teenage mutant ninja turtle joke.

I'm interested. Especially if it's in the $400 range. I really hope it will be done by summer. I doubt it though.

Re: The so called "Turtle Ram" interest list.
As long as it performs well, is a quality piece, reasonable price and can bolt on my E-Tec (Vortec) heads I am in.
If this isn't controversial--why are you calling it "turtle" ?? I have never thought that--and think it looks great

I want to go with the HSR, 'cause I love the looks and sounds like a helluva performer, but if this thing performs well, the hell ya I am in. Anyone have pics of this setup?

Re: The so called "Turtle Ram" interest list.
My new motor is still in the corner waiting on heads and an intake. I would like to see some flow numbers on this intake to see which heads I will be buying. I am very interested, was going to use a superam but they are getting hard to find and a real pain in the but to install or work around.
If it flows a decent number, I'm in!

depending on price and flow numbers, I'd be interested..

Re: The so called "Turtle Ram" interest list.
I'm interested also. As long as it's a good price, and fits as a bolt on replacement for TransAms with no cutting of the hood bracing or removal of the under hood insulation.

If it can wedge under the hood of a 89 firebird formula, and is seriously less than the SR or mini-ram, you can count me in!
