Superram...don't yell

Hello. I have a Superram I was porting and I don't mind take chances. So... i cut out the gigantic egr bump on the floor of the plenum. I has to be obstructing flow. I am going to epoxy a flat plate on the inside and outside. Has anyone done this and if so, was there a difference made? Thanks Chris It is not letting me attatch a picture but i'll try again from home, i'm at work.

don't waste your time..the super ram flows all it will as is. when I had lingenfelter do my car back in 91/92 I talked about it with them..what heads cam rpm range. for what the super ram was nade for and how it works.. get a good set of heads and a came that wrks with the heads and intake. and cid up to 420cid for the ram to work well.. all the rest is running in circles...this is from lingenfelter.

power adders are the place to look for making the super ram stand out.
blowers
nos
or turbos
what my car looked like when it came back from lingenfelters back in 1992. nos fogger on super ram. car ran 11.70s off the bottle. and 10.50 with the nos. as good as it would get..
pwer widows
tilt cruz
power seats
only thing removed was AC. wanted more room under the hood car ran the same with it...just a note..

Re: Superram...don't yell

Supposedly this is the lower height lt1 plenum and I hear it makes 10 to 15 hp less so I figured this might help... Motor is L98 with afr 180s lingenfelter 219 cam w 1.6's so .560 lift.

Was your superram ported for the low 11s? What cam and heads did you run?

Re: Superram...don't yell

super ram was unported. heads are at that time ported alum vet heads by LPE
this was there stage 5 383. seen above in pic.

still have all my info from LPE. they only made 2 super rams 1 type sbc 1 type bbc.

by 1995 I tried a set of trick flow twisted wedg heads fully ported (they told me not to port them as they did not need it)
I did anyway picked up almost one to two .10th a sec on the avrg run. not enof for the money and time. with the heads.
but for out of the box heads a good deal. as the vet heads from LPE was more then the Trick flows.$$

Re: Superram...don't yell

x2 on leaving it alone theres not much of anything to do inside there that will help

If you start making runner entries larger blend the entry way in make sure to get a nice radius on it. Really not necessary in most apps...thats a nice performing intake too bad its not available anymore kicks *** on the street and makes about any sbc a strong performer.

Re: Superram...don't yell

actually there are 2 types of accel BBC rams, one is the normal one which sort of looks like a HSR on steroids,

http://www.summitracing.com/int/part...7106/overview/

The other BBC superram has a large square top plenum and there is or was one on ebay with the removable tuned length stakcs
