HSR Vortec non-polished unavailable?

Anyone have any solid clue why I can only find the polished (more expensive) version for sale? The shiny version is more than I would ever pay.

Edit, nevermind, that's not vortec, sorry. I'll look for my part # I got a couple years ago.

Re: HSR Vortec non-polished unavailable?

The Vortec intakes do not have the middle holes correct? Are the other intake mounting holes the same as a first gen Chevy small block? If they are why not by a unpolished HSR for a standard small block and fill in the middle holes with JB weld then paint (or don't) the intake?

The holes are at different angles and I believe the ports don't match up very good.

I know a guy that wallered out the holes with a drill and made it work but I wouldn't recommend it. The ports being different sizes couldn't be a good thing as far as flow.

That's why I asked I wasn't sure I have no experience with Vortec heads or intakes.
But what I was going to suggest was to save yourself $300-$400 was you could fill in the holes in with JB weld then redrill them for the Vortec heads.
