Washing car with Murphy's Oil Soap
Hey, awhile back a guy who owns a rim shop, here in Windsor told me to wash wheels/tires down with Murphy's oil soap on a regular basis, something to do with the coating it leaves, a nice sheen (it actually does) but back to my topic.. He also told me that he'd been washing his truck since 1998 with this stuff, and it actually made a difference, so I started.. It actually helps a little bit with the shine.. Does any one else use it?

Never heard of this.. what does the paint feel like when the car is dry after washing it with Murphy's? Oily feeling? clean? slick like from a fresh coat of wax?
I knew a guy back in the day..that would use Lemon furniture polish on his car (Black Paint) and that car was beautiful. Something along the same lines I would imagine......

Well Murphy's leaves a film on my Hardwood floors so I can see it asa way to remove wax but I would rather use Claybar than Murphy's. I don't know how it would react to my 3 coats of clear on top of my paint.

I don't have a coat of wax on my car any more.. The murphy's leaves a thin, orange film to it, but washes off.. The paint, when dry, feels smooth. It looks really shiny from 20 feet away, but that's the original paint job..
