IROC without IROC stickers
How many people have no Iroc stickers on thier irocs. I was at a local car show recently and a fellow said too bad its not an iroc...my response was it is an iroc and I took the stickers off. When i bought the car there was a large chunk off one of them so i just removed them(stripes already removed). I think i like the car without them to be honest but sometimes I think of putting them back on. Im on the fence about it! So my car is black with 3" cervini cowel no stripes or decals with factory iroc rims and i think it looks bad a**!

Re: Iroc without Iroc stickers
people who ask/question , many times do not know the differences . be honest , what does it take to make an r/s into a IROC/Z28 ? if your honest , nothing more than swap/bolt on parts . on my car I have up-graded so much that it's more than either one . (I have a new GM crate L31 (re-cammed) ready to install) anyway I have CAMARO plates/stickers on my GFX & bumper . I suppose one could call it a clone but I do not . it's just my car , my way . oh well , enough of my B/S . if it's yours , fun to drive , you know what it's got , what else matters ??? good luck .

Ground FX plates say IROC, bumper interior badge also ... the decals are not bad, I could live with out them.

My '87 doesn't have the stickers on it either and at this time I don't think they are going to go back on. I know what I drive and I will school anyone who has doubts about what it is lol.

This car is beautiful (member here) no stickers, plates or body door moldings ... smooth looking.
Nice car (not mine), but going to finish my vert just like it.

Re: Iroc without Iroc stickers
my car doesnt have the decals either, i found out about the decal delete RPO from the decoder on the home pages. IIRC i read somewhere it was a $60 option. i personally like them without the stickers, i was never a huge fan of vinyl anything on the outside of cars. early model irocs didnt have iroc badges they have z28 badges on the outside. on the inside though they all had iroc z28 on the passenger side dash

Here is my 88' without decals. Original 5.7 4 wheel disk brake car. I never put them back on. Not sure if I should continue with the full factory look. I like both looks..

Re: Iroc without Iroc stickers
On an 85-87 it doesn't look right as they have Z28 emblems. 88-90s look OK without since they have redundant IROC-Z emblems to go with the decals. Probably why they moved them to the back of the door, so they weren't so close together. It still made no sense to change the emblems and keep both on the car. I personally prefer the decals being on no matter what though. I like the stripes to be on too. Removing too much can make the car look like an RS or just too plain IMO.

Re: IROC without IROC stickers
The thing that bothered me about putting on the decal was not "if" but the selection the stock colors came in. Until I found them in black. It's not a stock color but made me very happy.
The photo does not show them very well but they are "exactly" the same pattern / design as stock.

Re: IROC without IROC stickers
A picture before decals and after decals. I was on the fence too, but am happy they are on the car. The car had them originally and that was a factor in my decision.

Re: IROC without IROC stickers
Thanks for the compliments. That's a TGO inspired paint job. Four years of looking at all the beautiful examples on TGO and it had to be done. I thought before and after shots might shed some light on the subject. I was seriously considering not putting the decals back on for a while. The body shop owner (Chevy Nut) talked me into it He said "It's an IROC lets put them back". The price for the body work was going to be the same for me either way. So I told him to do it. The first time I saw it with decals, I thought maybe I had made a mistake. That feeling was very short lived for me. After looking at pictures with and without I knew I made the correct decision for my car. I'm still not sure how accurate they are but they are good enough for me. I would go by RPO if trying to keep car close to original and modify if I feel like modifying.
