Window Tint

Anyone know about how much it costs to tint windows on a third gen? Wanna tint the back window and the 2 side windows. Probably 25%? Any prices?
Thanks

Re: Window Tint

Here you can get the whole car done in 35% for 120 bucks. I tinted for years on the side and 120 is a great price. Just make sure they remove the door panels and use a quality tint.

Re: Window Tint

I had my wife's Infiniti Q50 done this spring and it was about $250 for the 4 doors and back window using a high end 3M product (can't recall which one). There is a lot of glass on the door and hatch of a third gen so I would expect for the same material used on my wife's car you looking at $200 - $225.

Re: Window Tint

It really doesn't matter how much we tell you it should cost. You need to call around in your area and get an estimate from your local tint shops and pick one based on price and whether they offer a warranty on the film they use and their labor.

Re: Window Tint

Bought one of those pre cut window tint kits off ebay, was like $25 shipped, now I only did the doors as I have a notchback but it was super easy with a heat gun as our door windows don't have allot of contour. I would not want to do the stock hatch glass myself.

Re: Window Tint

I would not get anything too dark for the rear hatch.
The PO with mine went real dark and the window was useless.

Re: Window Tint

The back hatch is a royal PITA to tint. I had to do mine in two pieces and it took a while for me to do. I got it right on my third try and I can easily handle side windows and most rear glass. The only reason I did the back hatch myself was because in Chicago's NorthWest suburbs the cheapest price to do the rear hatch was $200. If you can find a place that charges $200 or less for both windows and hatch I would take it.

Re: Window Tint

id want the hatch off and upside down on the ground / table if I was goin to tackle it. a good heat gun would be a must.

Re: Window Tint

I did mine with the hatch bolted on. I formed mine to the outside and then moved it to the inside and just trimmed the sides a bit.
