Thirdgens article
http://www.superchevy.com/features/1...-street-beast/
Ok, first off if this has already been posted, well sorry about that. Here it is again.
I saw the latest issue of Chevy Performance magazine on the newsstand, it had an article with this car. It's really great to see the caliber of 3rd gens coming out these days, from cars in magazines like this and the cars on here too. The 3rd gens are coming the way of the 1st gens and 2nd gens now. And by that I mean they are getting amazingly modded by owners to the same caliber, instead of falling by the wayside into automotive obscurity. I have said I do like the new 5th and 6th gen Camaro, technically just vicious cars with it all, looks, power, ride, comfort, modern tech... list goes on. But for me the lines of the 3rd gens still flow sooooo smooth. And with the cars popping up, both on here and in print, and both modded and pristine stock, it really is the 3rd gens time to start shining.

I dig it for what it was built to do... Show off parts, and talent. Not all of it fits my tastes, as most peoples builds really fit everyone else pallets, but there really was an amazing amount of sheetmetal work on almost every panel of that car, choked with all the coolest parts from companies trying to find a spot in the 3rd gen market.

I understand that builds of that caliber start to cross over into art and sculpture, and they showcase talents, parts, wallet size, etc. etc. It's good for all of US, that people are starting to do that with Thirdgens.
That being said, I think it's pretty hideous. OH the white letters!!!! WHY?!?!?!? ....BUT....I do like the Gfx/door trim mods.

I "Totally" agree with this statement.

It seems the more custom you make a car the less the overall community likes it. No exception with this Camaro. I'm not a fan of the interior or how they did the engine bay by the firewall. I do wish we had the builder to post build pictures and talk about building it because it looks well made.

Re: Thirdgens article
seems like i've seen this car popping up here and there for a while? the interior is ugly as can be, but the rest of the car has some nice mods. IDK if its me, but the IRS seems to sit very low to the ground.

I think if the color of the interior were different everything they did in there would be accepted by the masses (except for the low back seats), but if you need to make a splash and be seen... use the color red! lol.
Mike and the guys did a great job, and every person that has seen in person had no quality issues to complain about. The were pretty good about posting updates on their facebook page... Might go back and look through some of it. https://www.facebook.com/TheRestoModStore/

Re: Thirdgens article
I was thinking when I saw the article and posted here that it is pretty awesome! Like I said, people are giving the attention to detail so deep and flawless to 3rd gens now, the same as they would to a 1st gen. I mean, we have all seen countless absolutely mindblowing examples of 1st gens around, just amazing. But now people are willing to put the same incredible amount of time and money into 3rd gens. More and more are popping up, like you BADNBLK, you put incredible time and money and detail into your Z, an example that ANYONE at a car show or in any parking lot will stop, admire and be impressed. It's cool to see this. Yes the mods on this car may not suite everyone, as has been said on here, but to look past any color or such you don't prefer, you see wild amount of detail and work into this.
And the more incredible examples running around out there, and it encourages aftermarket to keep creating stuff for these cars, I mean they are still coming out with cool parts for the 1st and 2nd gens. So 3rd gens, here we go!!!

its just the angle of the picture here is a better shot[/QUOTE]
That looks to have more room. i guess its all in how you adjust the stance with the coil-overs? the exhaust looks somewhat difficult to route. i noticed the Heidts car had the exhaust dumping out the sides before the rear wheels.
a great option none-the-less for third gen owners. probably handles great?

Re: Thirdgens article
We were so happy to have that car at last year's ThirdGen Expo. And it's great to see folks put that sort of money into a 3rd gen.

There's also a difference between "Hey check out my car!", and "what do you think of my car?"
