Earlier I posted about a 2 month old paint job bubbling. Well, that bubble got to a certain size and stopped growing so I figured it was small potatoes to get it fixed. Now I'm starting to notice a bunch of super small little bubbles all around the car. I'm not even sure if they are bubbles. They are like little specs mostly on the hood and rear quarter. What is this a sign of?

It means they didn't prep the car right and there was a chemical reaction causing it to bubble. I had that happen on two of my cars in the past. Do you have a warranty on the paint job? If so .. tell em to do it again and do it right!

those little specs may be solvent popping. its when the coats are applied too heavy and/or not enough flash time between coats. when you put on a coat and the previous one is still "breathing" the solvents dont escape completely resulting in these tiny bubbles trapped in the next coat. only fix is to recoat.

Man that really sucks, sounds like fisheye's caused my silicon getting into the paint, usually happens due to poor prep work, mostly around areas where Armor All or some other silica based shine spray would have been applied, like the fender areas, rubber seals.

Only way to repair is to sand down and repaint, color and clear.

I have the same problem. Macco repained it once, looked at again and it happened again. They ended up deciding to give me my money back.

x2. had the same problem, with the paint i put down in my engine compartment.

it turned out the spec sheet i got was wrong for the paint i was using, and it caused it to solvent pop. looked like i had threw sand on it before it dried!

i wet sanded the whole thing with 400 and then re-wiped it down with wax/grease remover, then i reshot it with two good coats. came out a 100% better.
