Rear Hatch Alignment Problem- Help!
Hi everyone,
I have a problem with the rear hatch on my '84 Trans Am. The metal deck lid (if that's what it's called) is too far back compared to the glass so I can't get the screws back in. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks in advance

its only glued to the glass, it probably needs to be taken apart, realigned and reglued/sealed to the glass. Over time the hatch struts can push the deck back away from the glass

There is a tech article here somewhere on how to adjust the hatch. After it's adjusted you will most likely need to drill new holes.
