How much would it cost to replace a rear quarter panel?

Hey I got a 91 Camaro RS, and it has a lot of putty in the rear quarter on the driver's side. How much would it cost to have a new rear quarter panel piece put on there? Im talking from the end of the door all the way back, and this would include the area that the door closes on, where the post is that the door hinges on to. Also would include the rear pillar. Any general idea on how much it would cost? The car looks ok now but there is a place on the bottom where you can tell it's putty, and I just wanna get it fixed altogether. Any help is appreciated.

GM list is $476 for a complete ¼ quarterpanel. GMPartsDirect goes as low at $286+$65 s/h (or $7 cheaper than GM wholesale). Collision estimate time for R&R of the ¼ is almost 12 hours alone. Estimate $35-50/hr x 12hrs & that's just replacement cost, then you'll have to pay the cost of paint/materials/labor there as well. I don't know how willing bodyshops, that's better left for someone who knows that aspect, are as far as pulling/using used parts but I doubt they'd save you lots in the long run.

If you could tackle this yourself, the cost would only be the cost of the part (and the price of however much beer it takes ).

Rip the old damanged panel off yourself and then try to put the new one on. Then get someone else to paint it or whatever.

Go to a junk yard take some tools and some grease monkeys then pull you a Q pannel for around $50.00. Take it home sand it prime it then get it painted by a pro and you will be set to go.

Your car loves it when YOU work on it.

Im doin the same thing, someone fishtailed right into oncoming traffic before i got this car so the driver side quarter panel is fubar..

Panel itself is $99 from the paddock.. Gmparts, goodmark, classic industries all list them but dont stock them.. if you order from the paddock call and give them hell every week or it will take 10 weeks to get the thing like mine did...

total cost of quarterpanel (including freight)

$250

installation im not sure about yet, but ill keep everyone posted.

Thanks guys. Im also gonna need driver's side door, because it is rusted really bad along the bottom, and I'm also gonna buy new seals for both doors and the rear hatch when I get it painted, but it probably wont be till spring or later.
