Rear quarter panel damage

Is this damage repairable? I spun out on the freeway hit the center divider. My brother is saying we can try pulling it out. What do you think?

Re: Rear quarter panel damage

Looks like a easy fix, especially if you can weld. Most of the damage looks to be on parts that you can just replace(lights, bumper cover, GFX). Did you shatter the hatch glass? If not, you can pull out the dent or just cut out the damaged quarter panel area and weld in a new section.

Re: Rear quarter panel damage

Hatch glass is intact thankfully (as well as louvers). Ok, that's what I wanted to hear, honestly I just need some motivation right now. I guess I will try pulling it out first, then cutting if I cant get it to look right. Ya all the other parts do look easy to fix. I'm anxious to see how the rear hatch lines up once its all back to normal. I will post some "after" pics once im done.

Re: Rear quarter panel damage

You may not need to pull it out. That area is pretty accessible from the inside once you remove the plastics and spare tire.

Re: Rear quarter panel damage

His car is wearing the spare I think.

(and by a strange coincidence so is mine - in the exact same place)

I think that can be easily fixed. My quarter was smashed up pretty good and do to a butchered bondo job, it had to be replaced andd the aftermarket goodmark product is pretty good.

I think you should be fine with your quarter though. Strip it and go from there, but it doesnt look too bad.
