Check out our progress. pics
My son and I have been building a 91 Z28 for about 2 years now. It just came back from paint. We still have a lot of work to do, but it is getting there. Here are Resome pics.

Beautiful car. The color reminds me of a gunmetal grey I saw a few years back. My favorite grey.

Re: Check out our progress. pics
Before you put any product other than soap and water on the car talk to the shop that painted it and if there's any doubt with paint like that I would use the tried and true "Nothing on the paint other than soap and water" for a few months.
I let mine cure for three months, THEN used only "breathable synthetic polymers". No wax of any kind.
This is safe for new paint and an exhalent product. = http://www.meguiars.com/en/automotiv...itioner-1-gal/
Is that the Goodmark 2in. Steel Hood ?
Here you go.......

Re: Check out our progress. pics
The hood is the AMD 2" metal.
What we have done so far: Welded in new floor pan, weld in sub frame
connectors, all tubular adjustable rear suspension, 6pt roll bar, lowering springs, C5 Corvette rims, new seats. We have just about everything new that we could get our hands on for the interior ready to go in. We still have a lot of work but we are getting there. My son is 16 yrs old and it is gonna be his first car. The plan is for it to look good and sound good but i don't want it fast. Stock 5.7 with some exhaust.
Thanks Ron U.S.M.C for posting the pic. I don't know how to do that.

After the thumbnail has been posted, you can go back to it and enlarge the thumbnail to full size. Then just copy and then paste it into your next reply your typing in.
Type what you want then hit the enter button so the curser drops under and paste it.
Click on "submit reply" and your done.
That's not the best way to do it but you have to belong to a site like "image shack" to do it properly.

Re: Check out our progress. pics
That's a nice hood. Its a copy of the "Goodmark" hood I have.
A hinged steel hood is the way to go for a Daily Driver.

Much niceness... Love that colour!
I've been planning out my next build, I was going to go with a fighter jet grey colour, (car theme is like a tamer version of Big_Mods) but this is another top choice, the car show guys don't seem to be so keen on anything that ain't shiny.

that's because pretty much any paint job that isn't shiny looks like A$$ ,primer or a rattle-can special.there are very VERY few exceptions
