Anyone know if a set of Center Convo Pros or Weld Superlites will fit after the C5 swap.

As long as they're 17", it will then depend on the backspacing and offset. After doing some reading, a good safe bet will be wheels with little or no offset and 5" of backspacing.

Guys,
I've got some bad news...
I finally got around to installing my brakes today. Everything went nice and smooth. The Phoenix Injector kit made bleeding the new calipers a cinch. Then I went to put the wheels on and go for a test drive... not happening. My 17 x 9.5 ROH ZS wheels hit the ribs of the C5 calipers. So, my dilema is whether to grind the ribs off the C5's or wait on a pair of LS1's.
In any case, if you have ROH wheels and are thinking of doing this swap, take some measurements first.

man that sucks about your brakes not fitting. IMO i think you should just hit them a little with the grinder then paint them to your favorite color (as long as its red or black ) no sense in wasting these beauties, im sure you could keep a little fin too couldnt you, just grind it until it clears enough without taking them completly off
and those CTS-V brakes ARE FREAKIN AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I posted some pics of the interchangability of the calipers and carriers in the big LS1 brake thread.

I can't believe this old thread keeps coming back. Does anyone have the part numbers for number 2 and 11 on the diagram above?

Hi Luke... there's not a part number for the anti-rattle clips for C5 calipers. And, no, the LS1 and C5 brake pads are NOT the same. They'll fit in the carriers OK and I thought they were the same but they aren't.
To get new anti-rattle clips, you pretty much have to buy new pads from GM. I bought GM ceramics that came with them, P/N 88909667. The only other pad set that I know of that comes with them is the VGX pads from Summit I think, but in this case I'll stick with GM.

I went to the local Chev dealer and asked the parts guy about those clips and he gave me a set for free from the next brake job they did on a C5. They were used from the car they swapped the brakes onto but the condition was fine and they seem to be working well as I have no squeeks at all. When I explained what I needed them for the wrenches at the dealer were all excited and seemed happy to help me out. Worth a try

Definitely worth a try, I'll look into that.
BTW, I just checked the price on those pads again that I listed...they've gone up $15. I got them about 2 weeks ago for $35 or so a set, now they're $48.

Yep, I got mine for $35 also... Delco ceramic pads = simply sweet
Ed, I took my rotary sander to the ribs of the C5 calipers last night. I left about 1/3 of the ribs there. It's a tight fit in there but all appears to be well. Time will tell I suppose.
Echoing what many others have said, the difference between these brakes and the stockers is night and day. I'm very pleased. My son and I went to the local cruise district last night for a short christening. Put about 75 miles on the car w/ no complaints.
Now I need to find some high temp paint for the calipers. I've got a lil painting to do...

I used RM base clear over 2K primer with no problems. One of my friends did his complete engine intake and all with it and no discoloration so I figured it would work okay. Shine is killer of course and no probs yet. Most of that "high heat" stuff i have tried is crap. Just my
