PRB rear brake caliper Counter Weights...

I have a question about the PBR rear brake counter weights, mainly what do they do exactly. I have two different sets of PBR calipers one with the counter weights and one with. The set with the counter weights the rubber bushings are warn out so I was wondering what if they can be replaced and what purpose if any do they serve or do they not matter really all that much.

Any input on this would be great, thank you in advance.

Kevin

The 89-92 PBR's don't have the vibration dampener, the 93+ do. If they're unneeded on early models, which are nearly identical to the later models, I can't imagine they'd be required.

Thanks! I guess the calipers that I have were not the original ones to begin with. That helps me out a ton!

Trash them, no need and they're just added weight.
