How to tell what size rotors you have

How can you tell what size rotors you have w/o removing them from the car?
I have an original 92Z w/no modifications...other than a new R-134 A/C system.

RPO codes:
FE2 Suspension Special Performance?
GU5 3.23 Ratio
G80 Positraction
G92 Performance Ratio Axle?
J65 4 Wheel Disc Brakes

A friend sent me free drilled/slotted rotors that are 11.5 inches, will those work in place of my stock rotors?

Thanks for any feed back

Car: 86 Camaro
Engine: 355- hopefully a 5.3 this summer
Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: 3.42
Re: How to tell what size rotors you have

assuming the car is still 100% stock and unmodified:

if you have aluminum 2 piston calipers in the front that are mounted to the spindle with a separate bracket, then you have 12" rotors... if you have cast iron single piston calipers that are mounted directly to the spindle, then you have 10.5" rotors.

Unless your car is a 1LE (which is highly unlikely), your car is equipped with 10.5" front rotors and single-piston iron Delco-Moraine calipers. The rears will have 11+" rotors with single-piston alum PBR calipers.

Re: How to tell what size rotors you have

Thank you!
I even went to the local Chevy dealership's part counter yesterday, they suggested that I take the rotors off and measure them? Thanks for making it clear, I have changed the brake pads before... :-) I have 10.5" single piston
