Are these factory GM rear disc brakes?
Hi, I've never had a gm car with 4 wheel disc and need to change out my rear break pads. These are totally different than what GM uses in the front. If you can ID them for me and let me know what bass I need that would be great.
Btw this is on a 1991 trans am with ws6 package.
Also if there is a website instructions somewhere post a link!!
Thanks so much for any help,
Gary

Those calipers are from a 93-97 but are the same(ish) from 89-92 then 93-97.

Re: Are these factory GM rear disc brakes?
Thank you so much, I guess I should order 93 pads. Are they different for 93 ws6 or just one standard pad for all firebird models?

Replacement Pads for a 89-97 rear J65 car are pretty much the same.

Re: Are these factory GM rear disc brakes?
those are the PBR rear calipers with the integral parking brake, should use the same pad from 89-97 at least.
pity someone painted them red, they look cool in bare aluminum...

Most likely painted red because someone visited the accessory isle at autozone.

Huge difference in what you did and the "on the car" paint job the OP has on his. ;-). Yours do look great but for some reason, I do like the aluminum look a bit better.
