C3 calipers on ls1 rotor??
So here's some background.
I've been thinking of some fixed calipers from a production car (for ease of parts) thatll clear a 15 inch wheel. The only ones that I could think of are from a c3 corvette. Awesome enough at my job they have a few pairs of calipers. Now my question is the rotors, the factory c3 vette rotors have too much offset. So I was looking at a pair of ls1 rotors which are the same diameter but. 04 mm thicker. Will that be a problem for the clearance between the pads and the rotor? I test fitted the pads rotor and caliper, and they physically fit onto each other, is that good enough?

Re: C3 calipers on ls1 rotor??
So a little more research has been done, the reman calipers from autozone have updated seals and updated stainless steel pistons, so they should be better than regular c3 calipers. I retest this then today while I was there again, they physically fit together and even with the cellophane on the rotors the caliper spun relatively freely? I think it should be fine??

They are also cast iron and get heat soaked very quickly - unlike modern aluminum calipers.
I would stay away.
