FS/FT: 1987 IROC-Z in south Texas

Well as much as I'd hate to (I'm crying jus thinkin about it) I need to either sell/trade/get rid of my beloved IROC-Z. To be up front, I'd really like asmaller car (eclipse, CRX, etc.) However, I know this is a remote possiblity (more explination later) so a good cash offer will prolly have to do.

Like the title says, this is an '87 IROC-Z. It was originally red, but was painted black by the previous owner. It has 137,464 total mileage on the body, with 6k on a rebuilt/broke auto tranny and 100 miles on a freshly rebuilt 350cid engine. Engine has a street cam, new rockers, fresh seals, rebuilt heads, and a double roller timing chain. I have the receipt for the rebuild too. It's also got the dual K&N filters in the box. Also has a Accel ignition coil, bosch dual platnium spark plugs, Bosch MAF sensor, and a 180 degree thermostat. The engine is great; should last for years to come, no matter the mileage.

Now, the car has p/w, p/l, rear window def, fog lights, but don't have Cruise control. It also has a pioneer head unit w/ matching speakers (2 front speakers and 2 6x9's) along with a 1200w subwoofer system in the back (2 12" sony Xplod woofers).

It has a flowmaster cat-back exhaust with dual chrome tips, and the car also has chrome camaro rims. They look like rims from that year, but chrome. Tires are Nitto 455's w/ about 60% tread left. Car is a T-Top car, and the tops don't leak. The hood is a what I think is 3" turbo cowl induction hood.

Now, there is a little rust underneath the rear spoiler due to the spoiler not sealing properly (only can be seen from underneath w/hatch open). Also, there is a little spot on the left rear wheel well. Not too bad, it's ust a sand down needed. The paint is ok; it has some scratches and abrasions in it. However, they are not easily discernable, especially when the car is shined up. Interior is ok; previous owner put in new black seats in both front and rear. However the carpet and plastic panels could use a steam and polish.

Now about the tranny...its the infamous 700R4. It was rebuilt back in March '06. Since then, only 6k was put on it. Unfortunately, about a week after I got it back from having engine modifications, I discovered that the tranny had too much fluid in it. It will shift while cold; however it shifts rough while warm (if at all) and sounds like a gear stripped. I'm not a tranny specialist so I'm not sure. The parts should still be good, save whatever is stripped.

Really, under normal circumstances I would say to hell with it and put in another tranny, but my dad is breathing down my back about getting something a bit more economical. So here I am. It is a B-E-A-utiful car that I love dear, but simply do not have the TIME to take care of it properly. I'm hopin someone else can.

If you have any questions, please email me at joshman2006@msn.com or PM me. I'm not sure how to post pics on here, but I'll be glad to ship some pics to whomever asks.

Well....the tranny is currently being repaired. If I did sell it, you could take it out of state by driving it.

However, I'm more interested in an outright trade. I've got a trade pending.

But...if I don't, you'll be first in line Duke.

Interested in a Black 1993 Civic Coupe? It's a 1.5 liter sohc 5spd. The A/C blows cold! Tan interior with Integra bucket seats, and a Pioneer CD player. It's got 169,000 Miles, and has a new battery, clutch, timing belt, valve cover gasket, tires, and brakes. If so PM me, and I'll send ya some pics.

Also send me some additional pics of your car to boltonbodydrop@gmail.com
