first of all, as far as credibility goes, i understand im a noob here, but im on ls1.com with a real good reputation and over 6k posts. ask anyone on the site, they will know me

im lookin to buy an lt1 trans am, so i gotta put this up for sale.
mechanically, this car runs perfectly. transmission and engine are just about perfect, tho they have 130k miles.

paint... its spray paint. but here are pics, it doesnt look nearly as bad as you would think. the ground effects have a couple cracks in them (small, barely noticeable)

since ive had the car, no accidents, etc. i was told it HAS been in an accident tho, cuz the headlight assembly in the front of the car is broken, but really has no effect whatsoever. the gap you see in the front is the only result of this broken piece.

car is completely stock, but exhaust cuts out after the cat so its loud as hell (which i absolutely love lol)
tires wont need replacin for a bit. all fluids, spark plugs, wires, filters, etc have been recently changed (within the last couple weeks)

so far i havent had a single mechanical problem with this car, other than letting the battery die by leavin the headlights on.

all the power stuff works, windows, locks, hatch, etc. has all 4 pioneer speakers, some sort of aftermarket head unit w/ remote

interior is in great condition. one TINY rip on the drivers seat, and everything else is perfect. no funny smells, no stains (that ive seen) etc.

Is it still for sale?
Did you paint the wheels or are they just that covered with brake dust?
What kind of mpg's were you getting from the car?
Does it run well enough to pass a sniffer? (best guess..)

Also, does it have glass or plastic T-tops?

well, i have somewhat unfortunate answers to ur questions...
the wheels were painted byt he original owner.
as far as passing a sniffer, the exhaust is cut out after the cat, and the cat looks pretty bad so i was plannin on cuttin that off soon.

glass or plastic... lol... the previous owner had one fly off, ordered a new one, and it turned out to be glass. therefore one glass one plastic

as for mpg, i only tested it twice. once was when i first got the car and babied it. i got roughly 20mpg (no highway, all in town stop and go)

the next time i tested it i got 15mpg cuz i went wot alot on that tank (again, no highway)

where did you get the cup holder?

walmart. $5. the pass seat holds it against the center console. its not THAT sturdy, but it works.

i guess there are 2 screwholes in it that u can screw into the center console to hold it in. i probly will once i open up the shift plate to make sure im not screwin into my gear selector lol

no prob with the hijacking lol. yea i can pull the ebrake still, i have scratched my hand on the back of the cupholder before, but it can be slightly relocated.
it can be moved back further, jut make sure the seatbelt clip is stickin up before you do that, and hope that ur passengers dont wanna move the seat up further... or... i guess u could move it up further, idk. its a 5 dollar piece u cant go wrong with lol. i didnt even screw it in, it sits tight enough against the seatbeltclip and in between the seat and the console to use it. i just throw it in theback seat if its in my way for sumthin

i'm guessing you didnt paint the car... butt whats the rust situation. especially on the rear quarter panels, on the hatch lid, and floor pans... welll how rusty is it?

actually... i did paint the car lol. i can explain tho!! i dont know th eoriginal color of the car... the last 2 owners had it flat black and blue spray paint... both looked absolutely horrible. i didnt want to spend a few hundred on paint at the time cuz i really didnt care THAT much on how it looked, so i just got a better spraypaint and did a better job than the last 2 paintjobs...

i didnt do it the right way, but it was an improvement on what it had before. . .

rust is very minimal. i dont remember much, if ANY body rust.
under the car... hmm, id have to take another look at them but i think theyre pretty good

bump...I will bump it for you...seems like a nice car...especially for those that want a running project car that starts from scratch...seems like some paint and new wheels and you are on your way to a nice 3rd gen...change the engine or keep it stock...I would buy but I already have a couple including a black '92...someone buy the man's car...

looks like the rims were spray painted too. price don't sound bad but i'm about 6 or more hours away and i have cash. car looks does look good for spray paint job but digital cameras can hide a lot of blemishes. I know you can't expect much for the price. still don't sound like a bad deal
