1988 Camaro IROC-Z Tuned Port Inj V8 5-speed hardtop! Georgia !!!SOLD!!!
For sale: 1988 Camaro IROC-Z, 5-speed manual with V8 Tuned port Injection engine just like the Corvette. Runs outstanding. It is all stock except for ceramic coated headers, test pipe with electric cutout and 3" Flowmaster exhaust. Sounds awesome. Very fast, must drive to understand.
I'm middle aged and this car brings me back to high school driving it. Flip the switch to open the electric exhaust cutout and experience earth shacking open header V8 sound you can actually feel, not just hear.
The 5-speed was rebuilt two years ago and a new clutch was installed at the same time. A Walbrow fuel pump was just installed last month. I just installed a brand new AC Delco air conditioning compressor and serviced it with R12 Freon so it blows cold.
This is a southern car and it has very, very little rust for being almost 20 years old. It does need paint for sure. The original white is flaking off over exposing the GM primer. The headliner is brand new and the seats are in excellent condition out of a 2000 Camaro. I have the original IROC leather seats though and they will be included. In fact I have all the parts to return it back to all original. This may be well worth it in the next 5-10 years as these cars become more and more rare.
Look around, you would not find many 3rd generation ('82-92) IROC-Z's for sale with factory 5-speed and hardtop. The hardtop is much better then all those t-top cars that leak and rattle. Most all other IROCS were automatics too so to find a manual is truly rare.
My asking price is $2,500. Come see it and test drive, you will be brought back in time with a feeling of youthful excitement for sure. It is a blast to drive. See for yourself.

It needs paint. If I was to paint it I would throw a cheap $500 paint job to sell it. I decided to let the new owner make that choice about paint, after all some can paint themselfs saving money.
The ONLY spots of rust are at the top of the driver door on the roof and the passenger door under the rubber door strip. Below are pictures. The rest of the body is clean as well as under the car. It is a southern car and has never been north of Georgia. I have a current carfax I can email to potential buyer.

191K miles. the only picture of the bottom of the car is above. F-bodies sit too low to climb under and snap pics. My Jeep on the other hand sits plenty high.

how strong is the motor? can it be a DD , striaght from you...as in would the buyer have to put money into it. to get it to run and drive well everyday/ would it be able to make a trip to md?

That black rectangle thing on the rear is a dealer decal/plate. I never removed it.
