1989 Iroc Z 350 5-speed in MD 5000obo

Hello all,

I'm selling my Iroc because I want to go back to school, and get out of my current job. I've done a TON of work to it over the past year and a half. Here's what I've done.

The car is a 1989 L98 350 Iroc Z
It's black with gray interior, and t-tops
Power windows, seat, mirrors, locks

New black paint.

Rebuilt Original L98 Engine
-Fully Professionally Balanced Rotating assembly
-Arp Fasteners
-Vortec Heads
-ZZ4 Cam
-Flat Top Pistons (CR around 9.3:1)

-SLP Runners, Edelbrock Hi-Flo Vortec intake, and Plenum all ported, and port matched. Breathes great!
-24lb LT1 Injectors
-I converted it from Auto to a World Class T-5 Transmission
-Used a Zoom Clutch Kit
-Pro 5.0 performance Shifter
-I fully sanded and polished the original Iroc Wheels, they shine like Chrome.
-Edelbrock TES Shorty Headers
-Catco Converter
-Hooker Super-comp cat-back exhaust
-New T-Top Seals

- I also have a laptop, Diagnostic cable, and chip burning equipment that I will let go with the car. I have already started tuning, and it is fairly close, although it will definitely benefit from more work in that department.

Now, on to the bad.

-The drivers side power lock actuator seems to be non functional
-The power windows are kinda slow
-The new paint looks good, but hasnt been wet-sanded yet. It has a couple pieces of dirt that need sanded out of the clear coat

Finally the big issue. Although the engine has been rebuilt, and runs great, it has low oil pressure. I tried another oil pump and it has to be a bearing clearance issue. I checked the clearances with plastigage when I was putting it together, but apparently they werent tight enough. When I pulled the pan, there was absolutely no metal in it, so its not an issue of a wiped bearing. I even cut open the oil filter and it has no metal in it either. I'm almost 100 percent certain that the engine just needs pulled, and that problem addressed, and the car will be great. I just dont really have the cash, or the time to do it now, since I need to go back to school. Like I said, the car runs great, tons of power. (probably at least 375 horsepower and 450ft lbs of torque) This problem really wouldnt cost much money to fix, its just the amount of time you need to put into it.

However, if you're interested, send me an email at JReynolds503@yahoo.com. I'll try to get you some pictures. I don't have a digital camera, so I'll have to try to borrow one. Thanks for looking.

Forgot to mention underdrive pulleys and throttle body air foil.

I'd also consider trades for a decent every day car that gets decent mileage of similar value. My daily driver has about had it.

Sorry, but I have no use for a 4-wheeler. Thanks for the interest anyway.

Now if you could sell it, and had cash, its a different story.

This things gotta go, I have found another car I want. I'll entertain offers. Just send me a PM. Its a good car. Without a lot of work, it can be finished and on the road in time for spring.

Thanks guys.

Nice looking car. Oil pressure problem sounds like a cam bearing issue maybe. Good luck with sale - and school.

Car's been lowered to 4k to see if I can get a quick sale out of it that way. Let me know if you're interested.

tom3, thanks for the input. The bearings were professionally installed. The camshaft was a zz4 pull-out I got off of ebay. It looked ok when I put it in, not scoring or scratches or anything on the lobes. Could that possibly be an issue?

Thanks guys.
