Car: 1998 Trans/Am, 1989 RS Camaro
Engine: LS1, LQ9 6.0
Transmission: 4L60E, 4L60E
Axle/Gears: 2.73, 2.73
1989 LSX Camaro
This car started out as a 305 TBI / 700r4. That was pulled out and in place went a LQ9 H.O 6.0L / 4L60E. Engine has 95k and transmission has 110k. Oil has been changed with Mobile 1 Full Synthetic oil every 5,000 miles. On top is a LS1 intake and injectors and is currently running a stock tune. The car has also been upgraded with 4th gen dual electric fans, washer bottle, and coolant tank. All front end components have been replaced including the steering box. Has new tires all the way around, less than 7k on them
Rearend has a fresh oil change, 2.73 open diff rear. This car turns 2000 rpms at 80mph and will average 25mpg. I'm not a fan of the open diff but i just haven't got to it yet. Everything in the rear is stock except for the tubular panhard bar.
Fuel system is a Walbro 255lph intank pump with corvette filter/regulator all hooked together with braided stainless steel lines and russle/summit racing AN fittings. Transmission is stock with a Hayden Transmission cooler.
Interior is stock with the exception of the Radio and New black carpet. Dash has small crack by the speaker grill on the drivers side and the outside corner on the drivers side.
Exterior, This car was originally Black, Both front fenders were replaced and the car was shot with base coat clear coat Arctic White on 3-15-13. Hood does not match, Plan was to buy a 2" cowl hood to go in its place, I have enough paint left over for a hood to be painted the matching white. It has refinished grid style tail lights with new headlights and new bowtie grill insert.
The car runs extremely well and is super reliable. We have taken it on many vacations including a trip to Colorado February this year with no issues. I would not hesitate about driving it anywhere.
I am looking to sell for $10,000 Firm, I have well over this into the car but i am ready for something new. Would be willing to trade for a 2000-2002 Trans Am 6 speed or 1999-2004 Corvette 6 speed.
