92 Z28 Complete Rebuild Must See
I posted a feeler before but didnt get time to gather all the information because of my insane work hours. It took months of debate but am very sad to say she is officially up for sale due to a number of reasons...
The car works greats, starts up every time, even after months of hanging out in the garage. I am sure I forgot some things but I tried to gather as much information as I could and I do have 80-90% of the purchase receipts for all the parts for this car. I tried to keep everything possible and I also have photos (somewhere) from the tear down of the original black car to what she is now. It took about 6.5 years and I did everything except the engine build and body work myself in my garage without a lift. What an experience.
Anyways, here are the details:

mounted in rear passenger seat wells). Will include subs/amps/stereo and all other
components.
This build is setup to run 12 lbs of boost and that was my ultimate goal - D1SC Procharger. Whoever purchases this car should only purchase the car with the intent to add a supercharger to run 9-12 lbs. Otherwise you will really miss out on the true potential of the build. We are expecting about 650-700 hp range with the supercharger on 93 pump gas. Chad Golen can verify the engine build as we have been in constant communication during tuning and have developed a good relationship. I am sure he will extend the same courtesy and service to anyone who takes ownership of this vehicle.
I wasnt there for the original dyno tune but I was told the car made just under 500 hp at the crank NA. I had since fine tuned the fuel tables a bit more because I have not been able to find a local tuner who knows the FAST XFI system (that I also trust and will pay the ridiculous amounts that are charged here in NY). The XFI forums are incredible and several people helped tune my car for free and now its running amazing. I previously had the factory computer and that just wasnt going to do it.
I have never seen a nicer thirdgen in person and with the supercharger on here this car will truly be a rare car to have in the years to come. Lots of time and money has been put into this build and my loss will be someones gain.
I am asking $28,500 OBO. Much more was put into the car with all the parts, body work, paint, time, etc. To build another like this will easily cost 50k+ if you pay for someone to do including the cost of all the new parts. All the parts on this car were purchased NEW. I also have the title for the car. Location is Long Island, NY.
I'll provide any pictures, videos, information to any serious potential buyers. Please PM me or email me at axp2170@gmail.com (fastest way to reach me).
I am in no rush to sell and will continue to maintain and occasionally show the car and local shows when I have time. I also have tons of original parts, random parts, fluids, and all sorts of other stuff that I'd throw in with the car as it would be more useful with the car than without.
Now, for the pictures....

Re: 92 Z28 Complete Rebuild Must See
I dont have many photos of the interior but here are some. Not the cleanest. There are no rear seats as i planned to installed a custom stereo but never got around to it. speakers are wired in though. The floor was raised to hang the mufflers higher to increase ground clearance as well so the factory rear seats will no longer fit anyways, however i do still have them and they are in near perfect condition.

Love the car. I am not a potential buyer, but can you post up more pictures!
I have a maroon 91Z and have always liked the SS hood and 5" spoiler combo. Haven't came across too many dark red camaros with that combo!
Awesome job on the rear bumper!

Thanks. every sunday there is big gathering at the beach early morning. I usually take the car out there so thats probably the next photo op. I'll try and get more photos then.
The color looks dark in the shade but in the sun it really just explodes and brightens up like crazy. its a must see in person to really get the full effect. The metallic flakes make a big difference as well.

To the seller.. it was an honest question. I didn't know if that was the original asking.. or the updated price drop. To 90camaro355RS -- take a breath, Sparky. Find something else to riled up about. I asked the man a question.
Thx!

But I did reduce the price realizing I will certainly not get anything near what I put into the build and to also try and entertain reasonable offers.
I work way too much to be able to enjoy the car. I started the build when I was much younger and just started working and was very ambitious and wanted to carry out my dreams. Now that real life has hit, I just cant keep up with the car.
I take the car out on sunday mornings when I can to the local shows and thats it. Oil change every 6 months and check the plugs every 3 months or less.

Out of all the incredible things on this car I like the way you exited the exhaust. It is like the newer cars but looks factory for a third gen. Hard to fault this car in any area.

The only thing to say to that is again if you would have read the thread from the beginning you would have seen the original price and then would have known it was a price drop.

one of those two reasons.

Re: 92 Z28 Complete Rebuild Must See
Yes, this is the dropped price. I originally posted the car up for sale as a feeler to see what kind of interest was out there. After seeing some other cars for sale and talking to some others I realized I was asking for a bit much but its a tough pill to swallow after the money, effort and time put into such a build, particularly when there is none like this out there. And when there are similar cars (older camaro's) going for double and triple the price on ebay. There is nothing in those that you dont have in here other than vintage and work done in a profressional shop. All the parts are the same (fuel system, motor parts, electrical, etc.) as well as quality. I realize the LT1 is outdated but its built just as reliable as any other motor with tons of capable power with the setup I have it built for.

It is a beautiful car and if I didn't have as many as I do and the price were significantly less, I'd take a run at it. Seriously nice ride.

I have 4 inch exhaust into dual 3 inch but I used the chrome chevy bowtie tips. I like the oval ones from the late 60s Chevelles but your exhaust tips is the best ive seen on a third gen. I should have thought of that. I know I spent enough on the exhaust.

Yea, the exhaust I have was not cheap. Between the custom headers, custom mandrel 3" tubing, and the rear tips i am well over a couple thousand with the majority of the cost being the headers ofcourse.

Last price drop. Spread the word people. Just turned 1887 miles and running strong. Will entertain reasonable offers so if anyone knows someone who may be seriously interested have them send an email.
I can certainly provide plenty more pictures and even videos for those really interested.
