Car: 1987 Camaro
Engine: 2.8 V6 MFI
Transmission: 5 speed manual
1987 Chevrolet Camaro T-TOP (fresh paint & bodywork)
LOCATION: Calgary, Alberta, Canada
I have a 1987 Camaro Base with T-Tops and bag. 173 LB8 2.8 V6 with 5 sp manual
I purchased the vehicle in Camrose in July 2011. I bought it from the 2nd owner and he had since 1991.
Since I have owned it I have done the following:
- Spent over $4500 on new paint, replaced doors, floor plan and rear quarters
- Brand New true dual Dynomax exhaust, Maganflow tips all cat back.
- Oil, plugs, fuel filter changed 4 weeks ago
- Has a full Insurance inspection (passed 3 months ago)
- Replaced the interior with Z28, I have old seats which were part leather, however not in the best condition
I have not touched or modified the engine, except the regular maintenance.
I specifically wanted a 5 sp manaul and V6 as its economical to drive and still fun.
T-Tops are tinted and in good condition with no leaks, I also have the t-top leather bag which stores in the back.
Has a Berlinetta nose, and the engine was from another V6 with 140,000 kms. (The previous owner showed me the donor car for this, I still keep in contact and he can verify)
I often use the Camaro as my daily driver. She certainly turns heads as she sounds and looks amazing. Paint work is fresh and gleams.
Interior seats are in very good condition, carpet is good too, but is due a steam clean (which I may end up doing anyway) Dash has a crack and needs a pad but thats about it. I had a new windshield put in, but it recently cracked, but not in the drivers view and it passed the insurance inspection. Replacement is $240 all in.
Has power windows
- Power trunk release and closure
- Does have power locks (but not connected)
-Single CD player
-Rear hatch cover
The body work is mint, interior is near mint, and engine runs smooth with no leaks or noises.
This car is in my opinion 95% complete to make show car quality, and I get a lot of comments and looks as it is. Or you can just drive as is and have a sweet ride.
I am a member of the third gen camaro club too.
I am just seeing what interest is out there, so if you are going to offer $3000 don't bother, the paint and bodywork is worth more than that!
I am open to REASONABLE offers, $4200 obo
