LQ9 Swapped 89 RS - Fresh Paint - Excellent condition!!
Ok...just to get it out of the way early. I am NOT interested in trades of any sort unless they are green Benjamin's. Just not needing anything else ...too many cars right now. Thank you!
Up for sale is my Hardtop 1989 Camaro RS that has been LS/LQ Swapped with an LQ9-6.0 Liter from a Cadillac Escalade paired up with a 4L60 Auto Transmission.
The car has a brand new full (PROFESSIONAL) paint job in Summit White and freshly wet-sanded and buffed. Not a garage hack job
Here is the rundown:
- Has been lowered with new Eibach Pro Kit
- High rise rear spoiler with Defrost rear glass
- New Cold Air Kit
- New tint all around
- New Black Carpet
- 4th gen Graphite T/A Front and rear leather seats
- LS2 Fuel Rail Covers
- 4th Gen Electric Fans
- 4th gen Coolant Tank in same location as 4th gen
- 4th gen Wiper fluid tank in 4th gen location
- LS6 Intake
- 18" Chrome Z06 Wheels With Brand new Tires all around (Sold the C6's)
- IROC style Louvered Hood
- Bow-tie Grille Insert
- IROC Fog lights
- LED lighting inside and out
- New Door Lock cylinders and key
- New Door lock buttons on the inside
- New interior door handle Trim Surrounds
- Grid Style (IROC) taillights
- New Steering box
- Hotchkis Rear Sway Bar
- New Steering shaft upgraded from Astro with U-joints
- New Front Emblem
- Custom LSX emblems side and rear
- New Wheel spacers for the wheels so they do not rub
- New Turn Signals - Clear housings with Switchback bulbs
- New Side marker lights
- New Headliner
- New Dome light
- New Hatch pull down Motor
- New Sub and box in rear hatch with Amp wired in to aftermarket Head unit and new dash speakers
- New door latch strikers
- 4th gen harness and ECU installed.
I have a complete dash from a 2002 Camaro for this car that I planned on installing but dont have time. Its got the airbags and all. Also have a complete HVAC box and blower motor from a 4th gen that will go right in here with the new dash. As well as the complete 4th gen center console to mate up to the dash.
Also have the stock hatch and low rise wing if the buyer wants that.
The car now really doesnt even have a rattle in it.
There are ZERO Rust issues with this car inside or out.
I would drive this car anywhere, it does not overheat, burn oil, smoke or anything like that. Its made many trips across several states with zero issues. Cruise control works too.
I will never tell anyone a car is perfect but you will be hard pressed to find a nicer example for the money with the big mods already done. This car runs and drives great and has been a daily for me for a few months. I just hate to have it sit outside and be in the elements now with the new paint and all the work I have put into it.
Sure I am forgetting some things I have done, but nothing major. No issues that would prevent you from getting in and driving anywhere.
I am asking $13,000 for the car.
Located in OKC
Absurd Offers will not be entertained or commented on.

I need to shrink down my pics , they are too big to upload.

Let me know if that does not work.
Also, I have fixed the base where the drivers electronics were and wired it up to work as it should. IN the pic it was not working but its fixed now.

I'm very interested in your car. I'd like to see more pics of what the car looks like underneath. Has the car been in any accidents? The pics she sure looks nice and straight. Any modifications to the engine? How many miles on it before it was put in your car? Which wheels does the car come with? And do you have any flexiblity in your price? I'd like to come look at it and make an offer. Thanks.

Sorry I don't have any under car shots, no accidents I am aware of.
Engine is stock other than ls6 intake and cai.
Motor and trans have about 80k on them.
Comes with chrome Z06's I sold the c6's.
I am negotiable.
Where are you located?
Dave

Re: LQ9 Swapped 89 RS - Fresh Paint - Excellent condition!!
Would you consider letting it go for 10K? I'm currently stationed in South Korea in the Army. My wife is in Hawaii and I'm going to be there for 30 days in about 2 weeks. I had thought of getting a flight out to look at it but it's 900 bucks plus a room and rental car. I have my dad that lives in Dallas and could come take a look for me most any weekend. My wife wants the car shipped to hawaii but i'm not sure just yet. Not sure what paperwork or title transfer may need to be done prior to shipping. May just put it in storage till I figure that out. I am a resident of Texas so may just need to register it there before it get shipped. Anyway let me know what you think about the price and what not. We can always figure out the details later. Thanks.
