What's a good selling price?

Help me value my car!
Blue 1990 IROC-Z 95k original miles. Hard top 5.7 liter
Interior 9/10
Exterior 8/10 due to the chin spoiler being faded and rear hatch glass has a scuff.
everything works A/C PW,PD, Etc.

I bought it 2 years ago from the original owner for $9500 and have since replaced the heater core and put on brand new tires.

what do you guys think is a good selling price?

Re: What's a good selling price?

Being that it's a 90 5.7 car which are few and far between, and it's in relatively good shape, I'd say around 9K. The only problem is that third gens are the red headed step child of the collector car world and you will probably be hard pressed to get $7,500. She is a beauty though! Interior pics and engine bay pics would also help evaluate the value. If you are planning to sell it on TGO, you will have to put an asking price in your description. Good luck with the sale.

Re: What's a good selling price?

Nadaguides classic values it at an average of $7860 based on the options you have with a low retail of $4109 to a high retail of $14820.

Hagerty values it between $8300 to 22K

IF this car is considered a daily driver, that decreases it's value greatly to the low retail.

You can ask whatever you want for it, the right buyer will come along eventually...it depends on how fast you want/need to sell it. I would say, without actually seeing the car you could ask $9500, but realistically you may get 6-7 for it, this is just my opinion, so no disrespect intended to you or your car, it looks like a nice ride!

Re: What's a good selling price?

Just for example, a clean california 1990 IROC-Z asking $5500, it doesn't list mileage or how many owners but it looks clean for the price. 3rd gens don't bring big money, unless it's a G92/1LE car or anniversary edition or something. One day, they will be more sought after, they are camaro's after all, and they will be a classic one day. They are just under appreciated right now.

Heres another one asking $6000 obo

Re: What's a good selling price?

Guys,
Its been years since I have been on here, since 2006 i believes, so hi to all again. I saw this topic and wanted some advice on a fair asking price for my 86 iroc -z28 in the Indiana Zone. It seems like prices vary so much from car to car here in Indiana. I plan on getting some pictures of it once spring rolls around and maybe I'll ask again with a photo to help get a more accurate number. This has been sitting in my garage for years ( since college), but has been started and moved around pretty religiously.
Its a 1986 - 305 TPI, 125K Miles with T-Tops and Power Everything. All Power Options for its day and all works great. Stock for the most part except beffy trans w/ shift kit etc. Flawless Black Dupont Paint with 4"Harwood Hood, No Rust. Tires are low tread, rims stock but mint.Interior was black, but is faded pretty good with some dings here and there/ dash has a crack but looks good. Otherwise in good shape. Aftermarket sterio w/ floor subs in the rear hatch ( may be irrelevent for price ) Runs and drives Good. Any opinions based on that or am I spinning my wheels with no pics?

Thanks in advance to the forum for help!!

Without the pictures, it is hard to determine a fair price for your car. However, it seems like it's a car that you have maintained fairly well over the years. In my opinion, it seems to be pretty stock, and the changes that you have made can be changed back pretty easily, I would say a $3,500 or high $4,000 is what I would ask for it. You will be hard pressed to get that for the car though. Pictures would definitely help in making a fair assessment on the price of your car. Just a few things to remember....86 was the highest production year for the Camaro. There are tons of 86 cars out there. The fact that it has a lot of good options helps, but it will take a lot of time and the right buyer and a lot of negotiating to get what you feel is fair for your car.

Re: What's a good selling price?

I'd keep that 1990 Iroc-Z as long as possible. You don't see many Blue 1990 5.7s and under 100k? That's a Gem right there.

If it were mine I wouldn't take less than 10.5k I'll definitely be looking for one in the future.

Re: What's a good selling price?

I agree, they are very uncommon. I would love to have a blue 90 Iroc hardtop but couldn't find any when I was looking. So, had to settle for a 86 blue Iroc ttop car. If paint is in great condition, and everything else is pretty clean, I would think $6-7k is a good price for a quicker sell.

Re: What's a good selling price?

I am not going to sell right now it is very rare and in the condition it's in its too valuable to let go. I have a 2014 ZL1 and was going to fund my mod list by selling the IROC, now I will just wait.

Re: What's a good selling price?

Thanks for the information. I finally got the thing out of storage and snapped a couple pictures. I have to clean it up before it goes for sale but here is an idea.

The car has 124,700 miles. 305 Tuned Port Injection w/ T- Tops.
I have all the sales documents from when it was bought new.

Pretty much stock but has exhast , shift kit, and stahl convertor. few basic mods here and there. Rims are stock but polished and painted. Car was black gold package when new but is now black/chrome. Has Dupont Black paint, no rust.

Interior was black, but is fairly faded with some dings here and there. Decent condition inside but not mint, outside real nice. Will get some interior pics if you think it would help get an idea. Found mouse nest in engine compartment so it smells funny comming out of storage ( mouse peed somewhere). Going to get it detailed and post for sale.

what do yall think?

Re: What's a good selling price?

Looks good to me. I would start out at $5700 and go from there. Might want to start your own thread though if looking for more comments on price. GLWS!
