SOLD! 1989 IROC 81K 5-speed LB9, G92, N10

SOLD!

$3300 VIN - 1G1FP21F7KL176364 Clean title, In my name. Car is located in Niles, IL on the north edge of Chicago, IL

Feel free to call/text (224) 565-0788. First person with the cash gets it.

Time for this car to find a good home. It needs a little TLC and is priced accordingly. The engine has an intermittent knock that I can't pinpoint. Sometimes it's there, sometimes it isn't. Paint has some clear coat peel, chips, and isn't perfect. The pictures make it look a little better than it is, and it's certainly not orange. Car is Red I promise you!

I've taken many pictures is different lights so you have an idea of the cars real color.

In the 5 years I've owned this car I literally put 300 miles on it, and most of them were driving it home from WI where I purchased it. Why am I selling it? This is why:

https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/memb...n-91z-ls1.html

I need to focus on that project and let this car go to a good home.

A few years ago the clutch master cylinder went out and it just sat until This weekend when I finally changed it. You can see the car hasn't been registered since 2011. Now the car runs and drives well aside from the knock. It's missing a cat-back exhaust, radio, front sway bar, and other minor stuff.

It also comes with everything I'd gathered over the years to return it back to stock. AC, flowmaster exhaust and y-pipe, as well as everything you see in the pictures. Previous owner also installed a Compucar nitrous oxide system. I've never used it.

I do too. I just linked to this post in your 89/90 G92 thread.

This isn't on Craigslist. I'd much rather see someone here get it.

Also, I just updated the photobucket link with pictures of me changing/bleeding the new clutch master cylinder a few days ago.

That's a cool car! I'm pretty interested I just don't kno about me being in washington an also with that knock. It seems engine related but could it be the flywheel? Is their any difference in engine power with that knock?

Nope, no difference in power. I drive like a grandma anyway but the few times I've spun the tires I didn't notice any power difference.

Could be a number of things, I just don't have the motivation to dig into it. If I do, price will go up for sure after it's fixed!

I'm leaving it alone for now in the hopes that a buyer will be excited to get a good deal and dive into fixing it.

Thats correct. I'm not sure whats causing it but it doesn't seem to affect its drivability.
