1991 Camaro RS

1991 RS for Sale - Panama City, FL
330,000 miles, V-8 305 TBI.

Asking $3,000.

Arctic White with Red interior except for Driver's Seat, which is electric blue (Wanted dark blue, but had to settle; not one of my better decisions)

Bought her in Dec '95, with 15,600 miles on her; original owner kept her garaged for four years. Told myself I would drive her til she fell apart.

Well, 19 years and 315,000 miles later, she still runs great with original engine. Last troubleshoot by my mechanic revealed exhaust seeping into cooling system.

Do not have finances to repair her.

She has been the best car I've ever owned, and I've had seven, including my '76 Camaro LT. Man, if I could have combined the '76 and '91...

Been in one collision, in '03. Front end replaced. Repainted in '07, same color. Have folder of all repairs and mileage log.

Somebody backed into her front end a few years ago, leaving cracked paint on the tip of the nose. Been garaged/covered since Feb '13 when I retired her.

Engine is stock. Was very diligent with oil changes over the years, especially during a five-year commute with roughly 5,000 miles/mo.

Power windows, door locks. Cruise control inop. Horn inop. Passenger window motor needs to be replaced. A/C needs recharge. Went five years with no A/C before installing remanufactured compressor with R134a upgrade. Numerous batteries over the years. Alternator replaced. Water pump. Valve cover gaskets.

She has never burned oil.

Most intensive self-repair was heater core, in late '10/early '11.

Two transmission rebuilds - 144,000 miles (2nd gear failed) and 244,000 miles (rubber seal failed, resulting in hesitant gear shifting), by same transmission specialist (Tony Bigot - Ft Walton Beach, FL). He knows his stuff!

One windshield replacement (FL weather caused crack).

Trunk latch recently failed. Unable to determine yet if it's the latch, lockdown, wiring, or switch.

Headliner was removed years ago, as Florida humidity caused sag.

Would rather have a Third Gen member buy her as I know she'll be well cared for.
