Car: 1992 Camaro 1LE
1992 1LE Camaro Z28

1992 1LE Camaro Z28. Located outside of Kansas City, MO.

Over the last decade, life has given me less time to spend with this car. It's time it belongs to someone who loves Camaros, wants the privilege of owning a 1LE, and has more time to enjoy the car than I do. This car really is amazing, in terms of performance and lineage. I'm sure you'll love it.
  • 94,151 miles
  • Exterior: Hawaiian Orchid / Purple Haze
  • Interior: Light Beige, Deluxe Leather (pretty rare 1LE option)
  • 5.0L
  • 5 Speed
  • 2nd owner. Covered and garaged for the last 9 year.
  • Original (and excessive) documentation included

Please check out the pictures here:
https://goo.gl/photos/MyGS9trbsGJjrE4W6

And a short video here:

About the 1LE Package:
  • 116 true 1LEs in 1992 (most were B4Cs). Unknown number with leather and in this color; however, only 12% of all 1992 camaros were Hawaiian Orchid. Potentially a one-in-a-handful car.
  • RPO G92 Performance Axle
  • 4 wheel disk brakes
  • Aluminum driveshaft
  • Performance suspension
  • Fuel tank baffles
  • "Race-ready", A/C delete, no power options whatsoever, no cruise

For other information about the 1LE package, check out these links:

Full Disclosure:
  • Slide into a ditch at ~10mph in 2005. Front facia and front right fender replaced. No structural damage reported. It drives as well as it did pre-repairs.
  • Paint peeling and chipping on ground effects behind wheels.
  • Interior: driver seat leather worn, penny-sized dash tear, small tear on shift boot, normal carpet wear.
  • 2nd gear can be difficult to shift into and, if not done firmly, there is a noticeable grind.
  • Upon starting the car last, the speedometer is not working. I haven't driven this car out of the neighborhood in quite a while but I was going fast enough to notice this time.

Things I know to NOT be original:
  • 1st owner added a performance JET chip.
  • Flowmaster exhaust
  • Radio "upgraded" to MP3 CD. I do still have the original radio too.
  • Tail light covers are blacked out.
  • Light tinting

Included in the sale:
  • Large binder full of original invoices and documentation, pictures of delivery, 1LE articles, much more
  • Fitted Z28 car cover
  • Bra

If you are interested, please PM. I'm happy to converse with very interested parties only.

Cash or other certified payments only.

$9,500

The car is rare as hell. It's a little high of a price for the mileage but you just have to find that person who appreciates what it is. Like myself. LOL. I wouldn't mind having it for my collection but I have too many irons in the fire right now.

Re: 1992 1LE Camaro Z28

Thanks for the feedback!

I've been eyeing the 1LE market for a few years now and it's been almost impossible for me to find a comp to base my asking price on. I see pretty poor condition, high-mileage 1LEs asking 7K and pristine, low-mileage ones asking 25k but nothing really in the middle. And who knows what they actually sell for. So I thought $10k was pretty reasonable starting point for a pretty rare, drivable collector car. I guess I will just keep bumping this until the right buyer sees it!

I also have a purple haze 1LE 5 speed. Mine has 9K miles. I was wondering what the value of mine would be. Any ideas?

I would say $25k. It might be hard to actually find somebody willing to pay it, but that's what I think based on rarity/mileage. I also think the value has nowhere to go but up.

Re: 1992 1LE Camaro Z28

Color combo is important here, at least to me. The Purple Haze is an AWESOME color and the leather is ultra rare in a 1LE (even in a regular Z28) but the light beige color just does not jive with the purple. Then again, I'm not a fan of the beige/tan interiors in any of the third gens except maybe a black TA.

If it had the grey interior I think you'd be right in the ball park. Light beige, you'll likely have to wait for the right buyer.

Car is super rare, well respected & sought after by most, and a ****ing blast to drive. I love mine!

Thanks for the compliments guys! However, I've yet to have even a single message on it. Purely, you're correct - it's an absolute blast to drive!
