I have a 1987 IROC-Z28 G92 for sale. It has a 305 tpi with the hard to find 5 spd manual trans, it is a G92 code (limited slip differential, engine oil cooler, four wheel disc brakes, Borg Warner 9 inch rear end) car that came from the factory with no A/C, manual locks and windows. Car has 123,500 miles. Has good tires and paint. interior has minor seat fabric tear but no foam exposed. Coolant sensor may be going, gauge acts funny but then straightens out. Price seems a little high for the average buyer, but from the outside it looks almost new. Definitely clean looking.

1AZ is the code for a customer ordered car - cars that were ordered for customers got priority over ones ordered for dealer or zone stock.

1AZ is not a COPO but this car is as close to a 1LE as you could get for an 87.

I'm interested in the custom black interior. I'll have to take a ride over to your area of CT and take a look at the interior.

The 1SA car is very simple inside, not even a way to open the back hatch. One thing I do love is the vents that open and allow fresh air to into the drivers side or passengers side foot-well area.

The car has the RPO code for the AM radio, UL6. I think this means it did not have speakers on the back walls.

Correct if I'm wrong as the early COPO's where set up for the drag strip but a 1AZ was a special order car,,, hence a Central Office Production Order.

I explained it completely in my post - it's not a COPO.

My 87 is a 1AZ as well because I ordered it new - a customer order was given priority.
