have a beautiful 1989 rs camaro. It is black with silver stripes. The car is a 5 speed with 6,000 original miles. It also has an aftermarket exhaust. A true collector car. There is some one in LA that has been trying to sell a blue automatic with 5000 original miles very similar to yours. They have been asking around $11k and it has been for sale for over 1 year.

The fact it's sitting outside in the snow, even for pictures, it not overly pleasing to see for a 6k mi car.

The aftermarket gauge doesn't help things either. For 6k miles it's sad anything was done to it.

I would vacuum the floor too! It makes the car look uncared-for. Unfortunately I wouldn't consider another RS. Looks like a nice car. Is it a V6 or V8? I can't see something like this bringing more than 5 or 6 grand. Not many collectors are looking for an RS. It would be a nice daily driver for someone who wants a dependable third generation camaro.

Looks like a stripped down car. No power windows, locks, hatch or mirrors. Base radio with not even the cassette player. No A/C either. Dash does not have the vents on the side. they are sealed. V6 or v8?

Beautiful car, hate to see that tach among a few other things on a "6k" mile car. I have my doubts on that.

More than likely 106,000 mile car. Outside in the snow, dirty carpet, aftermarket gauge on the A pillar - no way that has 6k original miles.

Nothing special about it either, so not sure what exactly makes it a 'true collector car'

Also - important question - is it a V6 or V8?

If it is truely 6k original miles, and as other people have commented, it shows signs of being a lot more than that, then I would hold onto it for another decade. These cars are on the rise in value. A base model isn't worth much unless it's been converted over to a bigger engine but even then, that somewhat hurts the value. Years down the road, it will probably be worth something as a collector will probably want it to either just sit on it, or swap engine and transmission into a straight unmolested car. But, seeing that in snow, makes me think there's already or soon to be rust under that car because most places salt the roads.
