1985 Camaro IROC-Z Z28 (Project/Roller) - Oregon - $3000
Hey guys, it's been a LONG time since I've been on here, and regrettably my return to sell the Camaro. Some of you may remember it from back in the day. I will just paste the text from the CL ad, but will answer any questions that are posted. Would like to see it go to a fellow TGO member who will appreciate it. $3000. Located in Oregon, south of Portland. PM or email me at ben.btc@gmail.com.
1985 Chevrolet IROC-Z Z28 Camaro, 18x9.5" Z06 wheels, repainted a deeper red, Z28 emblems filled and replaced by Silverado SS emblems, 1992 hood, 1995 Z28 dash and seats. Garage kept for 15 years, and has been parked for over a decade. No engine or transmission - roller only. Was a TPI car, and all the wiring including ECM is in tact. Dash was converted wire by wire to work with the TPI, OR if you put an LS1 into it, that would easily interface with an F-Body harness. Has Edelbrock headers and Y-pipe for small block, Flowmaster muffler, Edelbrock strut tower brace, and a lot extra parts I have stockpiled over the years, including an LT1 intake manifold modified to work on a small block using the TPI harness, LSD rear end, and pedal assembly to changeover to manual. I held onto this car as long as I did knowing it would make a comeback, and now that it has, it must go. Again, this is a roller only; a project car. Feel free to contact me with any questions, not interested in trades, can show on weekends. Pictures taken 2/6, the last attached images of it in the early 2000's.

$2000. Ouch... bottom dollar. Maybe it's a sign to keep it another decade.

Indeed he did, and in the words of Porky Pig; that's all folks.
I'm in disbelief I finally parted with this cherished icon, but that's the way it is - change is good. I look at my time as a third genner like a drug habit; you're down 110%, hang with a different crowd, and go all in until the bottom drops out - then move onto a new high.
Truth be told I had moved on long ago but held onto this car as a memoir of the past - I drove this car at a very transitional time of my life, and held onto it "just because", because I could, not because it made sense. Even if I did resurrect this beast, it would have only felt like some weird attempt to rekindle history - like the middle aged guy wearing his high school jacket at the bar thinking he's still got it.
I offer no apology for what may seem like a meaningless post, because what the hell do I care, my legacy at TGO is complete... for now.
Congrats, bro - and sorry in advance for anything f-ed up you find - I warned you I was younger and dumber the last time I worked on that thing!
Adios, TGO.
