1991 Z28 Procharged Golen 383 Stroker
I'm the second owner and I've owned this Z28 Camaro since Dec 1993. It's time to let someone else enjoy it since I rarely drive it.
NEW ENGINE:
-Golen L98 performance engine, 383 stroker, built in May 2009. Just over 2000 miles on engine.
-F.A.S.T. XFI ECU and all wiring components.
-D1SC Procharger @12lbs of boost.
-Dougs custom headers
-Flowmaster 80 series exhaust
SUSPENSION:
-Spohn Subframe connectors
-Spohn LCAs
-Panhard Bar
DRIVELINE:
- Rebuilt 10 bolt Aug 2015
- All new internals
- Moser Axles
- New Eaton Posi. unit
- ProBuilt 700R4 Transmission was built by local shop (Jun 2016) with all Probuilt Automatics.com items from the 700R4 Pro Street Elite 1988 and up package.
-Vigilante 2800 stall converter.
-Spohn balanced driveshaft.
Interior:
Custom red&black Z28 monogrammed seats by camarokingla.com summer 2015.
TEST/TUNING:
Kennedys Dyno Tune and Jannetty Racing
I have all original parts in my attic:
AC system, white OEM 16" wheels, OEM wire harness and ECM. I have the complete original L98 engine (pulled at 103k) on stand in garage. All extras go with car. Car body has 105k on odometer. I'm asking $15,500 and I may accept a reasonable offer. I don't need to sell it, but it will go for the right price. No trades needed. Over 20k+ invested over the years with parts, testing, and tuning.
I sent the Procharger back to ATI Procharger in August 2016 for rebuild since it was leaking some oil. They replaced all the seals and it's back in the car and is like brand new. 13 years of use before seals went bad and ready for 13 more. Also has oil for 3 more oil changes included.

Re: 1991 Z28 Procharged Golen 383 Stroker
No track times with current setup. It ran 12.72 @ 108 on stock L98 and D1SC at 6lbs of boost in quarter mile. Old HP number were 366 RWHP and 447 FT Torque. I am dynoing the car in the spring ( March or April) at my local shop and I will post the printouts and video. I am anticipating fairly good numbers but we shall see.

I'd sure think that build on 12# would make upwards of 600hp. I had a similar built blow through carbed 388cu in that made 630hp on 12# with the same blower.

Re: 1991 Z28 Procharged Golen 383 Stroker
Yes, I would have to agree that the hp has to be right about there too only I'm getting 11lbs of boost not 12lb.
8lbs was the highest I could get with the old screw-down tension pulley. So, I took the original plate from my Procharger to my local metal shop and used it as a template and had a new one made. The new plate had about 3 inches added to the top in order to give me room to add a tensioner pulley. This helped out immensely with belt slippage along with the carbide coating on pulley and I was instantly boosted to 11lbs.
I will say from a back road with a 20 mph roll and heavy foot it will blaze the rears to no end and put a smile on my face. Sorry, but sometimes the juvenile kid in me comes out and gets the best of me.
