Re: Anyone from the Interior of BC?
This old girl was destined for the crusher. It had a 305 with a cracked block that has already been pulled. I'm in the process (when I have time) of dropping a carbed 350 out of a 79 half ton Chev. Once it's running I'll drive it as is for the summer, then paint it and redo the interior this winter.

Re: Anyone from the Interior of BC?
This will be my third Camaro. I restored a 73 RS when I was 14, drove it for a few summers when I finished it when I was 18, then sold it. I had an 81 z28, which was one of my favourite cars growing up, however I really wanted a t-top 4 speed. Mine was auto and slicktop. This one is an 87. Besides being dirty from living under a tree for several years, it has NO rust, and a couple of small dents on the fenders. The seats are under seat covers, and are immaculate, as is the carpet...just dirty. These pictures are from after I pulled it out of the trees and gave it a good vacuuming to get rid of all of the pine needles, pine cones and sticks.

Re: Anyone from the Interior of BC?
I was living in west kelowna for a while, absolutely love Kelowna!!! Can't wait to move back, unfortunately gotta grad in Victoria, where the family is.... My buddy Mikey is in West Kelown or West Bank (haha I still prefer the name West Bank) owns a slew of vehicles! He used to own a 1987 GTA with the Digital Dash and the 700r4 tranny in gunmetal color, unfortunately a drunk driver wrote off that and his 41 international pannel truck with a 350...... He now owns an 89 formula in a really nice red color, it has matching gfx and a decent sound system as well as nice wheels and a couple more nice interior pieces. I have a silver 89 GTA with a nice black stripe along the top of the body line before the sail pannel its hard to explain but its nice. I'm sure I might see some of your rides in August or over the next year or two! Chris

Hey BC guys, Kelowna here! I'm trying to find an ss fiberglass hood for my 91z28. Do any of you guys know where I could track one down? So far the only Canadian place I have found one is camaro depot . All the places I've check out of the states want an arm and a leg and your first born child for shipping. Any help would be great! Thanks!

After that, I am slowly going to work on the drivetrain. trying to decide to spend my tax refund on motor/trans, or paint.

Hey crafty_z28... Well I've always had a particular order to restoring. That's drivetrain, paint then interior unless the interior is absolutely bagged. Lol! It always kills me if I can't drive it. Mines put away for the winter right now and I'm already missing it. Mid March I figure I'll put it back on the road.

Re: Anyone from the Interior of BC?
yea it's a tough call. I'm not going to hardcore with this build, I was kinda thinking of leaving it in primer until I get my garage finished to paint in. And I know how you feel. I want to just drive this thing again soo bad!

Hey everyone! I'm from Kelowna and I own a all original black 89 iroc t-top 305 tpi car 5spd. Hopefully have it on road for next summer as it needs paint. Took me about a year to find this car!

Re: Anyone from the Interior of BC?
anyone who needs to ship to canada should try a letterlock service. they charge a MINIMAL fee ( honestly its miniscule, and tops out at i think $25 for something that needs to be put on a pallet) then you just hop on over the boder with your buddies and pick it up

If any Kelowna guys are interested in meeting up this summer, I'll be hauling my car out for the street car shootout, I'll be in town July 20-25th.

Re: Anyone from the Interior of BC?
I realize it's been nearly two decades since the first post on this thread; but I live in Terrace BC. (Six hours from Prince George)
I have an iroc z28 with a Hot cammed 305, 5-speed non-world class Borg Warner T5. I have never actually drove my camaro yet and I'm looking forward to driving it this summer as I am 17 and have only drove my 90 chev pick up and a few other vehicles into the shop. I did drive my Iroc once tho a few days ago. I bought it for $3000 early 2015. And I have been working on it since. The new 305 and a newer tranny. I have a lowering kit for it but I'd rather learn to drive it first. As it is standard and it's a car. I had a parts car that I stripped completely. Do I have a few parts kicking around. I'm interested in chatting with the people that started this post aswell as others. I am an enthusiast when it comes to wrenching, spinning tires, racing, and just driving.

Re: Anyone from the Interior of BC?
Right on. My camaro is in overhaul mode right now. I sold of the drive train. I'm building a forged 370 LS with a 80mm turbo. I'm just saving some cash for a Dart LS next block and 6 bolt heads. Backed with a 4l80e and quick performance 9" rear. So I'm gonna be down for a bit yet

Re: Anyone from the Interior of BC?
I haven't been down to the races in a couple years now, haven't done much to the red car really. Probably won't for a bit still, I'm restoring the 78 now and I only tackle one project at a time ahha.

Nice to hear you still have both of them, mines almost gone up for sale a few times now, mostly cause it doesn't wanna cooperate...haha. I think I seen your GTA in north Burnaby a few years ago.
