Passenger side blaring, drivers side whisper quiet
The only modification to the audio system is Pioneer speakers. It did this even before i got them with the original speakers. Why? Sometimes its really bad that you can barely hear the drivers side, and sometimes you can hear it pretty well. I'm confused!

sounds like either the radio's internal amp is on its way out, or the fader is dirty. may help to pull off the **** and spray some electrical cleaner in there to clean off the contacts.

I was told by the good people on here that the UM7 Radio that I have, has no amp. I cleaned the whole radio out with electric parts cleaner and it did nothing for performance. Made everything a bit more clear through the speakers though, but still it did noting to make the drivers side louder.

A channel in my factory am/fm cass unit either did not work or blasted also.
The cause was a bad volume ****.
The cure: Bought a new am/fm cd and a install kit !

Re: Passenger side blaring, drivers side whisper quiet
I hate new head units, especially after market ones, they are drop dead UGLY and aren't made for our cars, don't fit, don't fit in, and just look awkward. I'm not doing that to my car, I like my radio, its nice, it fits, and it looks good in the car. Plus theres only ~1000 other UM7 radios made for 1990 and I'm 100% sure they aren't still installed in any F-body anywhere but in my car. Thats why.
