Micro Amp: Looking for mounting sugguestions
Hey All.
I wanted a little more power for the audio and have arleady swapped out my speakers. I picked a Rockford PBR300X4 Punch BRT Ultra Compact 4 channel amp
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...00_i00_details
This thing is AMAZINGLY small at 1.53" x 4.25" x 6.75
video of someone unboxing one
So... any sugguestions on mounting this little sucerk? I would love to fit it somewhere up front (I honestly don't want to run wiring to install it, and puttin it up front would make an install easy considering I am livinng out of a hotel while out in california for 4 nights a week)
Thoughts?

that thing is tiny! i personally try to avoid anything under seats since my cars are driven year round (wet feet + electrical = bad day). do you have an aftermarket radio? havent taken measurements, but you *may* have room inside the center console between the shifter and the deck....

its an aftermarket deck with 3 sets of pre-amp outputs. I don't know if there is enough room behind there, but it might be worth a try... maybe I'll cancel my installation appointment at Best Buy.

Under the console, between the shifter and the compartment. My Eclipse iPC-106 iPod controller was mounted there (before everything got gutted). Either that or under one of the back seats. You're going to want to run the power wire down the driver's side rocker anyways (with the rest of the body harness, follow the routing under the driver's seat for the power door accessory harness) to avoid interference issues.
:edit: The spot under the console I indicated is a REALLY TIGHT fit. It may take some fighting to get the amp in just the right spot to allow the console to fit right.
