Can't say about the aux port AND repairs, but for repairs and complete refurb exchanges: http://www.oem-auto-accessory.com
The guys name is Sam, just shoot him an email, stergo@charter.net or call him. Great guy, I've used him numerous times now (he got another unit from me just yesterday as a matter of fact). He can either do repairs himself, or if your unit is just beat (broken buttons, face, etc) he has a Delco supplier he can get a complete refurb unit from that will look and be virtually brand new. If you do that route, email him your unit EXACT P/N to see if his vendor has one in stock for it.
He has by far the best prices for everything compared to others I have used the past 15 yrs. Also the quickest turn-around time with way cheap return shipping USPS.
BTW, just the static is a piece of cake self repair. Remove the ***** and everything you can and go thru it all with Electrical Contact Cleaner from RadioShack, buy the one with the built in brush on the nozzle.

Re: OEM Delco radio repair??
I have done several refurbs and aux jacks for members here. I do it as a hobby and thus have amassed a ton of NOS OEM spare parts and parts radios over the years. I am busy with work so the turn around time is usually 2 weeks or so. There is another member on here who also does good work. I'm sure he will chime in. If anyone is interested best to PM me. Also some of there repairs and mods can be dome fairly easily. Several of us have posted instructions over the years. Just do a search.

What about the magnetism of the tape deck? Don't tape decks lose sound quality over time due to magnetism changes?

The head can become magnetized with use, reducing high frequency response-special cassettes are made to de-magnetize the head and hand-held demagnetizers can be used if they can reach the head.Usual cause of muddled sound is a head that has become dirty with tape oxide buildup-clean with alcohol and a q-tip.Also,sometimes the little felt pressure pad will fall off the cassette tape.
