How To Test Factory Amp?

Title says it all. How do I test the factory amp (Uq7).

Here is the diagram from the 1984 service manual if it helps. I'm planning on bench testing mine too since I remember seeing smoke in the location of the amp at one point. I'm going to put back the original head unit and find a set of OEM speakers to replace the dryrotted originals.

You can find out what each pin is on the connectors by matching the wire colors. The two wires on the separate connector go to the power switch, I believe.

Is it 2000 pages thick??
I also have the product service book,but that's for ALL 86 Pontiacs.

Probably a different Publisher, mine was printed by GM.your cover color is different also.If I'm not mistaken 86s were all Red
