Re: new car amplifier location
Looks awesome Cheves. This is exactly what I had in mind for my 12s currently in the car.
Did you build a box and just rest it on the lower section? What do 12s require for inside volume was it 1 cubic foot for each sub?
I have 2 12's Installed now but they are down low with just a board going across the bottom trunk and I know it's not the proper volume for max bass out of the subs.
Years ago I had 4-10s in my Camaro and it absolutely THUMPED. It would knock the ball cap off my head. I need more bass then what I am putting out now and am hoping if I build my sub box like yours it will give me what I am looking for!
I'll snap a pic later as I am not home!

I got the box on ebay, perfect fit, it was something like this...

I also have installed Pioneer speakers all around and a new head unit, sounds really loud now.

Re: new car amplifier location
I am in the process of reworking the previous "coffin-look" install that I had. I decided to move the computer into the driver's side rear well and the amp/receiver/hd tuner/cap into the passenger side. the computer and stereo are mounted with aluminum frames that i cut and bolted together.
I will eventually create a fiberglass sleeve to hold the t-tops in the well.
Also including a couple of pics to show the mirror dvr, the front and rear cameras, the monitor, and the overhead console that contains the switches and led indicators for the computer.

9/10 times I've put false flooring in, looks the same as far as carpet, but it's actually about an inch or two taller, and I just hide my amp's under there.
