Factory Radio Stopped Working
So the other day I was listening to my radio when all the sudden it just stopped. Theres a slight popping sounds coming from my speakers. I know its not the speakers because those are brand new and I replaced the antenna and bout an adapter so it'll still plug in and that didn't fix it. It's an 89 factory radio, with the cassette. Any ideas?? I kinda thought the radio relay, how do you tell if theyre bad?

Do you get good sound with the cassette?
When I bought my car, the seller told me there was a problem with the speakers, but I quickly realized that wasn't true because the cassette played fine. (This also implied the amplifier stage was working too.)
In my case, it turned out to be a bad resistor (unusual problem I thought) which prevented the radio from switching its function properly to AM/FM tuner.

Could be a number of different things. The best way to diagnose these radios is on a bench with a scope.
Is it all 4 channels or just 2?
If you are interested in having it repaired shoot me a PM.
