How Do I lean out, an Edelbrock?

I think I am running rich, poor gas milage and high emissions readings. How do I go about leaning out the carb., can I play w/ the A/F screws, if so which way do I turn them, I thought left but am not sure.

The screws will only adjust the idle mixture and will have little effect on your mileage. You'll have to change rods and jets to lean out the cruise mixture. Edelbrock has the manual online at http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive/eps_intro.html which explains pretty much everything.

Yep. I recommend purchasing the Tuning Kit for your specific carb. Plenty of jets and rods and springs and good directions on how to get what you want.
