Fuel injector cleaner in a carb?
I just put in fuel injector cleaner in the tank of my 84 trans am (carb). I wasn't really thinking that it wasn't fuel injected, will this hurt my car at all? I used STP Fuel Injector cleaner, right after I changed my oil.

No problem. They're basically the same stuff, designed to loosen up crud in your fuel tank, plug the pick-up screen, and clog the fuel filter...

so then should i never use those products? I've heard that they're pointless from some, but never really bad. I guess I'll just change the fuel filter now.

No, not really. I had a bad experience with STP several years ago, that's all.
I use a small dose of fuel additive cleaner with every fill-up. If the car has sat around unused for any length of time, or poor quality gas used regularly (haven't heard of that type of problem recently), then adding a cleaner can do what I said above.

I use it frequently
I use it because it tends to do a better job than the carb/fuel inj stuff in a white bottle.
Look at it this way, it wouldn't be sold over the counter if it would do harm to a carb, otherwise there'd be even more law suits.
I like STP, but for about the same price you can also get Berryman B-12 Chemtool, which I feel is a better product. I usually put half the bottle in my COLD crank case and run it 5 minutes to flush the motor out before I change oil. The other half goes in the tank at about 1/2 tank.
