Ever since I got my street avenger the thing has been driving me crazy. Both the fuel feeds keep coming loose and leaking on me. Can I use teflon tape or loctite blue?

In the past I always used Teflon tape with no problems.

Another trick is to use o-rings up inside the area the fuel line screws into, in the bowl side. The flared out gas line will seal on this o-ring and stop any leaks, been there done this on many holley's, worls slicker than chit!! Dont know what size o-ring we used since we have the big kit full of them, but easy enough to take a bowl to the parts store also.

I have tons of buena nitrile orings...will gasoline eat them? That was my only concern, the gasoline eating away at the teflon or the tape possibly breaking apart and getting into the carb.

We've used teflon tape and dope, never experienced gasoline affecting it. I've noticed it is better to let the paste teflon set-up awhile before putting gas through the fitting otherwise it's prone to leaking, with the tape you can put gas to it as soon as you tighten the fittings.

The o-rings, never had any problems with them when used in the application. That's a season's worth of jet changes, racing/street driving and they still stay sealed tight. Alot of the cheaper single inlet dual feel bars for the Holley carbs have a tendency to leak even when tighten to the point of stripping in the bowls, O-rings have always solved the problem, even when teflon could'nt.

The pink teflon tape is gas safe. The white stuff for normal plumbing is not.

I agree, I tried the tape on my dual feed line and it leaked like crazy because it just gets eaten up when threaded. The liquid stuff works like a charm though!
