Check Engine Light with carb swap

Check Engine Light with carb swap
Hey, everyone. I have a 1991 Z28 with a 350 TPI and 700r4. I am planning on swapping out the TPI setup to go carb but I would like to be able to drive the car occaisonally on the street. Is there any way to do this swap so that I can legally get inspection/emissions stickers on this car? Thanks for the help

Technically, no. Not anywhere in the US is swapping as stock EFI system back to a carb legal. You can go forward in years in many states (later model motor into an earlier car), but not backwards anywhere that I know of.
Remember, I said TECHNICALLY. There are loopholes here and there you can squeak through depending on where you live and if there is a shop in the area that will "play ball" with modification-oriented customers. How do you think I get a 383 roots blower motor through PA state inspection?
