I have a 87 carberated camaro and I am trying to find out where I can get a new in tank float assembly. I have tried all local parts stores, summit & jegs, but no one has one for a carburated set up. Does any one know where I can get one. FRUSTTRATED, THANKS

Re: in tank fuel gage sending unit
There are some other options. On our cars the fuel gauge portion of the assembly are the same for V6, V8, EFI or carb. The difference is with the pick-up tube. You can take a NEW EFI sending unit, add some more tubing to it and then add a sock. See the sticky thread at the top of this forum on how to convert an EFI pick up to carb.
Another option is to get one form a junk yard. I did this for a 91rs 3.1L. The sending unit I got was from a TBI car, I swapped out the pump and put my new V6 pump in and everything worked.

THANK YOU, I will give that a try.
